Catching our attention on the Harajuku street one fine evening are Kanji and Maiko sporting extreme streetwear styles. Let’s take a look at their individual ensembles:

At the left sporting a pink concept outfit is Kanji, the 18-year-old fashion student who we often see on the Harajuku street in different creative ensembles. This time, Kanji’s creative execution of conceptual fashion consists of a handmade pink dress with flared ridged sleeves and sheer panels, which he overlaid with multiple little marshmallow-like constructs covered with sheer pink, orange, and dark pink fabrics from his head down to his back and waist. He added sheer light pink pants, with extra long hems that covered his black studded boots. Metallic pink “octopus arms” with blue metallic edges are wrapped around his neck. Black dripping eye makeup and a colorful skull bottom mask rounded out his statement-making look. For more of his creative fashion, follow Kanji on Twitter and Instagram.

Meanwhile, Maiko – a nail artist and owner of Neuron Nailz Tokyo – stepped out in a colorful edgy outfit with her stylish partially-shaved and braided hair. Maiko is wearing a pink-and-black zebra print fur jacket with a neon green fur lining, worn over a red vinyl leather bolero jacket with ruffled edges. She styled her layered jackets with a black cropped top encrusted with multi-colored flat glass beads, and slipped into a black vinyl leather tiered skirt with zippered edges. Thigh-high blue-and-red striped socks and a pair of black platform lace-up and buckled mid-calf boots completed her outfit. Her accessories – from Neuron Nailz Tokyo – include a red hair bow and a black studded choker. Fierce eye makeup and dark red lipstick finished off her bold avant-garde style. Maiko is also active on Twitter and Instagram, follow her!
