Starbucks Japan adds two different mouth-watering apple Frappuccinos for fall

Tart or sweet, either way you can’t go wrong with these fall treats.

Starbucks Japan doubled-down on seasonal appeal in its most recently released dessert drink, picking a summer fruit and a summer locale for the Peach on the Beach Frappuccino. But while we’re still plotting to see how many of those we can drink during the limited time they’re available, Starbucks is already planning ahead with two new Frappuccinos on the way.

The pair both make use of apple, but in different ways. Starting with the Green Apple Jelly Frappuccino, you get a mix of sweet, tart, and creamy sensations, delivered via crisp bits of apple and soft apple gelatin in the Frappuccino itself, and green apple candy bits sprinkled into the whipped cream topping, which together Starbucks promises is a refreshing drink for the last days of lingering summertime heat.

Alternatively, if you’d rather have some extra sweetness to brace yourself against the oncoming cool autumn weather, the Baked Apple Pink Frappuccino uses pink apple compote (fruit with syrup) and crumbled pastry bits seasoned with a touch of cinnamon, with those same pastry bits also part of the apple candy and whipped cream topping. Both drinks are priced at 580 yen (US$5.40) for a tall size.

If two different apple Frappuccinos still isn’t quite enough to satisfy your apple cravings, Starbucks will also be offering Apple Jelly and Baked Apple Ice Teas (440 yen for a short), and if you want not just apple beverages, but apple food too, there’s the above-pictured Apple Crumble Pie (480 yen for a slice).

All items make their debut as part of the Artful Autumn menu expansion on August 30, and the Frappuccinos will be around until September 19.
